If you always do something bright, try a gorgeous neutral. It’s such a great playground! If you’re like me and doing your own manicures at home makes your nail beds look similar to that of a 6 year old, then take these pictures into your local nail place and ask them to recreate them. Last week I cleaned out my closet and have been trying to elevate my everyday wardrobe by wearing more “put-together” looks: dresses, heels, etc. I’m loving my new look, but my poor feet are already displeased. As much as I love a high heel, it seems like they get more painful as I get older. And that’s before I start running! Running after wearing heels all day feels like someone has literally tied my calves in knots. So what’s a girl to do? I’m definitely not ready to give up the height yet, so for now I’ll try this simple “high heel yoga” routine by Tara Stiles. This video features a handful of yoga poses designed to stretch out your feet and give you some relief at the end of the day. Sounds like the perfect solution to me!

Today is day five of my twenty-two day sabbatical. A very much needed time out as we say in football. It’s the time when the team stops movement and gets a clear focus and devises an even better edition to the game plan. It should be a mandatory action for everyone, especially for the obsessive working personalities like me.

Maybe twenty-two days isn’t possible for you. Try a few moments each day to revive yourself. Give yourself a physical tune up. In the world we live in, fresh starts should be mandatory. Whether our situations are good, bad or in-between . Fresh starts are life changing. They allow us the ability to stand back and reevaluate. It is then that the magnitude of the object changes.

Fresh starts bring the excitement back and allow us to be in love again with the things that consume us or rid ourselves of things that destroy the essence of who we are. Take the challenge, it will change your life forever!

I’ve already openly expressed my obsession with Boscia, and this is the mask where it all began. I just ran out, and I need a refill in the worst possible way. And let’s be honest, so do you. Oh and Santa sweetie, while you’re at it, pick me up their Detoxifying Black Cleanser- I’m dying to try it.

Revlon- Strawberry Suede Matte Lipstick

I love this Revlon shade, but I’m really into Matte Lipstick of any color right now. This is my favorite lip trend that is definitely here to stay with me throughout Spring/Summer. If you’re interested, I’ll show you next week how you can achieve the perfect, smear-free matte lip that will last for hours!

Chanel Levres Scrintillantes Glossimer- in Bagatelle

This is the best lipgloss ever created. It lasts, it shines and it’s absolutely beautiful. If you’re going to treat yourself, start with Chanel and you will never be disappointed.

You know how sensitive I am about the products that I put on my skin, and I am in LOVE with Jare Iredale products because they are 100% pure and free of any type of chemicals that could clog your pores. Jane Iredale actually makes the most pure mineral makeup on the market. Because it’s so pure, You could leave this makeup in your bag for 5 years and it would still be good because there’s nothing for bacteria to build on. With the conclusion of the football season last week, I had the pleasure of visiting Hawaii. Although a very busy time, I captured tons of photos, met amazing people and saw some new Louis Vuitton and Christian Louboutin pieces (which by the way is by far my favorite).

First up is PROBOWL. Now I must admit, this is my 3rd visit to Honolulu and it is one of my least favorite destinations. The weather is gorgeous but I always say, if you’ve been to LA you have been to Honolulu.

Despite the V-Day overload in all grocery/convenience stores, somehow Valentine’s Day completely skipped my mind this year. I have absolutely no plans tonight (and no classes tomorrow!) and I am SO excited about it. I’m planning to come home, cook myself a nice, healthy meal and bake an amazing dessert. Who says you can’t be your own valentine?

I’m starting my meal off with a glazed broiled salmon recipe by Giada De Laurentiis, with a side of garlic sauteed spinach and roasted rosemary potatoes – both via Jessica Seinfeld.

For dessert, I’m debating between Ina Garten’s classic chocolate cake and Paula Deen’s wildly unhealthy Red Velvet cupcakes. Actually both are pretty unhealthy, but what’s the point of Valentine’s Day if you don’t splurge on dessert? I’m posting both videos so you can pick on for yourself.

Pursue your passions and talents, irregardless of the cost. If you don’t, you’ll be starving the world from one of the things it needs the most: a person that’s passionate and feels in the bottom of their core that what they bring to the table, no one else can.
