As a female publicist in the world of sports, healthy living is absolutely essential. My (so far) 8 week journey into dieting has opened my mind to the reality that eating healthy is the first step to changing you, not just your lifestyle. I did not start my diet as a new years resolution, I personally feel that every day we are granted life, we are given the ability to start anew.
Dedication to anything whether it be a career goal, saving money or losing weight requires PATIENCE, FOCUS and SACRIFICING.
This is not a weight loss journey, its a lifestyle and insiders view to all things media, without all of the fluff (pun intended).
So whats a typical day?
PREPARATIONS!
I start my days around 430am – I’ve started waking up at 4:30 to allow myself 15 extra minutes of meditation, before filling my mind with all the anxieties that each day holds. Then comes checking emails, reading feedback, client reports, alerts, the days agenda, composing pitches, follow ups, scripting releases, editing and creating a to-do-list.
Athletes start their day typically between 5 and 7am. Treatments, interviews, workouts or practice. REPEAT! So I am required to travel at a quicker pace.
Although I reside on the east coast, my schedule restarts with interviews and conference calls by time zone and client location, even internationally.
So how do I find a little piece of ZEN in a world full of noise? I just had my AH HA moment (thank you Oprah)

Pinterest is a website which I call my own personal, digital vision board. USA TODAY describes it as “A bunch of images that are grouped together on a user’s page, creating an inspiration board of ideas.”
I happen to share my ideas back and forth with my dear friend, Jewell Green and its an escape.

Feel free to follow me and share a bit of your visions with me and my colleagues.
In a world full of media and standards, how do you escape within yourself and allow your imagination to run free?
Love & Light,
Shiana
