Ever get to Friday and feel like you need at least three more days before you can close out the week? Welcome to my world! I’ve got so much going on I’m struggling to keep up with myself. It’s days like this that I need to exhale and fill my mind with beautiful things… Literally! I’m making an executive decision to end the week the way we started it, beautiful inspiration.

Happy Mother’s Day!
Friday, May 11th, 2012 by adminHappy Mothers Day!
We all want to leave our mark on this world. Sometimes we get caught up and forget that it’s people we leave our prints on, not our job or degrees. If you are a mother or spend any time mothering…. you have the opportunity to change the world. You spend countless hours talking, praying, and encouraging to ensure that the children in your life succeed. There is no greater job! I’ve been a mother most of my life. I was married at 19 and a mother by 21! I remember the moment each of my children were born, feeling like I was born to love them. Whether I’m cheering their victory, screaming for more character,or encouraging them through a defeat, I thank God for giving me the opportunity. The stories aren’t always perfect; we are a far from perfect clan. I know that the training for me is how I respond to the problem not the attempt to be exempt from trial. Easy is boring. It’s like riding a bike… you use all your muscle to be able to coast, yet coasting only inspires you to engage again! Whatever season you find yourself in today, be encouraged! You are the CEO of a life that is more connected to you than any other. You get the opportunity until you die to leave an
imprint on society.
No company offers that~ The reward is a priceless memory!

Life’s Posh, … live it!

Friday, May 4th, 2012 by adminTonight I’m sitting in the same spot I wrote you from last week. The draft was just beginning and the nation tuned in, everyone with their own wish list. I watched with my family the lives of young men all over the nation change with one phone call. Yes, a call. Whether a draft or free agent, it all starts with the call from a team expressing the desire for you to join forces, put your college years in your memory bank and start all over.
My son got the call. How exciting,yet unnerving all at once. In the midst of excitement you must be as prepared in your own strategy room. It goes like this: the first rounders start the show. Many are in New York, with family waiting to receive the call while we watch on tv. As the rounds continue, the strategy is that if you aren’t drafted by round 5 you want to be a free agent. Why? Well if the rookie minimum salary is yours for the taking, choose your team, the one you have the best options with. Or like my son, choose the team you feel connected to. The team that when you close your eyes, you see yourself in their colors representing their city. A city that you call your own the minute the call has ended. At that moment your history is just that and your only goal is to shine at camp and make them glad they called you.
As a mom, it was surreal. I looked at my husband, who is so sure of himself during trials that to see him in action makes me fall in love all over again, and I said… “Do we really have a son in the NFL?” He answered as sure as always and said, “it’s his destiny, God’s unique plan for his life.” He’s going to do amazing things on and off the field in Charlotte, and yes babe, they’ll think he has a really young looking mom:)

Determination & Motivation::
Friday, April 27th, 2012 by adminHappy Friday!
As I sit and watch the NFL draft with my family it’s hard to think about anything else. The one thought on my mind is the determination that it takes for each of these players to get to this level. It all started with an idea and a perfectly executed plan. Positive thoughts were not enough!
Let’s get motivated. Create a plan and execute it to fulfill your purpose. Stay positive but keep moving. If you hit a road block… make an adjustment. It’s all up to you.
Dream A Little {Fashion} Dream::
Friday, April 13th, 2012 by adminIf you are in the DC metro area like me you must be wondering where is spring! With temps in the low 60′s (if we’re lucky), we are forced to dream of sunny days. Dreaming for me means a fabulous website with designer ensembles! The Posh team has a running joke that I seem to have a biased affection for the over priced, I say if you’re going to dream, go all the way! Donna Karan seems to always have something perfect for every season and the unpredictable in-between. She covers the “over 30″ curves with a sexy assurance that makes every woman glad God made her just that! Check out what she has in stores now……. and dream a little. At least we can splurge in our minds!
