Inspiration Monday:: Trusting Your Position

When life throws a curve ball, and you aren’t sure the best way to proceed, trust your position. Trust that every experience in your life has led you to this moment, to being able to move forward in the right manor. Trust that only you know the exact right decision to make for you. Trust that the position life has put you in is exactly where you need to be right in this moment. Trust that deep in your core, you know exactly what to do. Learning to trust yourself and your position is an invaluable step in becoming the person that you were meant to be.

A Fresh Start:

Today is day five of my twenty-two day sabbatical. A very much needed time out as we say in football. It’s the time when the team stops movement and gets a clear focus and devises an even better edition to the game plan. It should be a mandatory action for everyone, especially for the obsessive working personalities like me.

Maybe twenty-two days isn’t possible for you. Try a few moments each day to revive yourself. Give yourself a physical tune up. In the world we live in, fresh starts should be mandatory. Whether our situations are good, bad or in-between . Fresh starts are life changing. They allow us the ability to stand back and reevaluate. It is then that the magnitude of the object changes.

Fresh starts bring the excitement back and allow us to be in love again with the things that consume us or rid ourselves of things that destroy the essence of who we are. Take the challenge, it will change your life forever!

Inspiration Monday:: What If Whitney

When tragic, and untimely, deaths of some of pop culture’s greatest icons happen, we’re reminded yet again how important it is to passionately pursue your dreams. Imagine if Whitney had never cared enough to work as hard as she did, and because she didn’t work hard the world was never blessed with her amazing music. What if she gave up the first time someone told her no, or told her that she wasn’t good enough? What if she let other people influence her dreams? What if Whitney let naysayers and negative noise shut her up? If she had, then she never would have sold over 170,000,000 albums, won two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, and 22 American Music Awards. Lucky for us, she didn’t let anything stop her, and in return we were given one of the greatest voices the world will ever know.

Pursue your passions and talents, irregardless of the cost. If you don’t, you’ll be starving the world from one of the things it needs the most: a person that’s passionate and feels in the bottom of their core that what they bring to the table, no one else can.

Becoming A Better You::

A few days ago I heard an amazing message.  It was a story about feeling like you’ve mastered a specific area or goal you’d set.  As it turns out… That should never really be our story.

Our goal should be the desire to grow, to become better in every aspect of who we are.  Whether it be our mind, body or soul…. there are always new heights.   There will always be an untouched spot just waiting to be pushed to improvement.  We need to be trained by people that make us eager to know all that we can be. People that we respect that aren’t a part of our comfort zones.  It’s then that we can view ourselves like the large canvases we are and add color.  Each portrait will be beautiful yet ever changing as you become a better you.  Push yourself to greatness and whenever you feel like you’ve mastered it… Please keep pushing, you were destined for greatness, don’t dare settle for less!
