Happy New Year! We took a few days off to ring in the New Year properly, and we had an absolute blast! We are ready to take on 2013  and can’t wait to show you all of the fantastic things we have planned.

In fact, we’re currently working on a Best In Beauty post and we want to hear from y0u! What were your favorite beauty purchases of 2012? Best mascara? Favorite lipstick colors? Long-lasting foundations? Favorite drugstore brands? And what are the products you will definitely repurchase in 2013?

We can’t wait to hear what your suggestions! Want Healthy Hair? ::

Wednesday, December 5th, 2012 by Libby

I don’t know if it’s something in the New York water, or if it’s the change of the seasons, or maybe even a combination of both, but less than a week after moving to the city, my hair starting breaking off in every which way. It was seriously so dry that I was almost positive I could start a fire just by rubbing two strands together. And the problem with split ends is that they just keep up splitting upwards, threatening the health of your entire strand up to the root, not just the ends {hence the need for regular trims every six weeks!}.

One day while lamenting to my best friend about this problem she told me that she had just used a hair masque that completely restored the health of her hair. Obviously I bought it that very day, and as your friend can truthfully say to you that I have never used a hair product that worked this well, this fast. Ever.

Macadamia Natural Oil Repair Masque

This masque uses a combination of macadamia oil, argon oil, tea tree oil, chamomile oil, aloe and algae extracts to revitalize and restore your damaged and dry hair. It’s incredibly conditioning and leaves your hair so, so soft. My ends look noticeably healthier and my whole head is shiny! I’m not kidding you when I say that this is a product that just seriously performs. Use this product once or twice a week or as needed, just make sure you are using it at least once or twice a month! Your locks will thank you, and who doesn’t want better hair?

P.s. Even if you don’t have noticeably dry hair, I would still recommend this product to you. It’s so nourishing for your hair, that it will only help build up its strength, especially during the upcoming Winter when the air tends to compromise the health of your hair!

Have you ever tried this product?

xo,
Libby

Why NOW Is A Great Time To Save Money On Beauty::

Wednesday, November 7th, 2012 by Libby

Well, it’s officially Holiday time in the retail world, and as you gear up to buy all the gifts on your list, take a quick peak at places you could save money for yourself. For example, every year the very best cosmetic companies put together kits or gifts to sell as a set and they are most often offering brand new products, although most likely in smaller sizes,  at insane discounts! Seriously, look at the Estée Lauder ‘Ultimate Color’ collection below, it’s valued at over $340, but you get it for free if you purchase $58 worth of perfume. Win-win! Seriously, this is a great time for huge beauty savings! Here are some of my favorites available right now:

Nordstrom ‘Natural’ Eye Palette // Jane Iredale ‘Grab & Go Mesmerizing’ Kit // Estée Lauder ‘Ultimate Color’ Collection // Lancôme ‘Glamorous in Red’ Lip Essentials Collection // NARS ‘Andy Warhol’ Photo Booth Nail Polish Gift Set

Stylenomics::

One of my favorite Fall colors is Hunter Green. I love it in my purses, shoes, coats and especially my nails. Essie’s ‘Stylenomics’ is my fa.vor.ite color right now. It’s a deep hunter green that gives you just the right amount of opulent green color. If you aren’t sure about this color trend, just try it as your next mani- it’s a small term commitment that I think you’ll fall in love with.

We’re In It Together::

Thursday, October 18th, 2012 by admin

With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we wanted to share some of our favorite products that support the cause. It’s an obvious theme that the POSH team loves their nail polish, so we were thrilled to find 4 amazing hues of pink polish from Essie. With names like “Check-up“, “Good Morning Hope“, “I am Strong” and “We’re In It Together” (our favorite!), there’s absolutely so much to love and support. Because this fight truly is something that we’re in together. It’s not just you and your story, it’s everyone’s fight against breast cancer.

What do you think about this collection? Each polish is $8 and can be bought at your local beauty or drug store.
