Restaurant Review:: Seasons 52

Last week, I had a dinner date planned with a friend from high school, but we couldn’t decide where to go. I suggested Seasons 52 and he replied, “Isn’t that a sports bar?” That was all I needed to hear. I told him to meet me there at 8pm and immediately started writing this review in my head.

Seasons 52 is actually the perfect healthy restaurant. The menu is full of amazingly decadent dishes. Everything from cedar plank salmon to wood-roasted pork tenderloin. The best part is that every item on the menu is under 475 calories. And they don’t mean that the item is 474.9 calories. Some of the items are as low as 150! The menu is also seasonally dictated so they offer fresh, crisp meals in the Spring and Summer and warm comfort foods in the Winter.

Despite all of that great stuff, my favorite part is dessert. Each dessert comes in a little shot glass filled to the brim with chocolate-y/red velvet-y/cheesecake-y goodness. The dessert choices also rotate so one week you can get pumpkin pie and the next you can choose blueberry cheesecake. But no matter what, they will always have Rocky Road. And I can only describe it the way my first server described it to me: chocolate on chocolate topped with chocolate. Amazing.

If you live in the DC area, you can find Seasons 52 in Mclean, Virginia (at Tyson’s Corner) and in Bethesda, Maryland (across from White Flint Mall). Otherwise, check their website for the location nearest you.
