I have a confession to make: my name is Libby and I am a complete beauty product junkie. We here at POSH have heard your cry for more beauty product reviews and I am here to deliver!
Here’s a little bit more about me: I work at POSH as a writer for Posh’s Black Book and an online merchandiser at ShopPoshBoutique.com, I love a strong red lip {so chic on all skin types!} and I am way too passionate about women {and men!} taking care of their skin. My bathroom is overflowing with beauty products because I feel a strong need to always be on top of the latest beauty trends and I am never one to shy aware from taking a beauty risk. My favorite night consists of watching The Real Housewives of Anywhere while putting on my favorite mask and enjoying a glass of red wine. All that being said, I have so many exciting things to share, and I can’t wait to get down to all the beauty basics with you in my new weekly post we’re calling “Libby Loves Lipstick” {Cute, no?}. So without further ado, here’s my favorite beauty product right now that I absolutely CANNOT live without::
I was introduced to Boscia Skincare by my cousin’s wife, and based off of her glowing reviews of their Luminizing Black Mask, I figured I’d just give it a shot. What I found was an unbelievable skincare company that I seriously love. {You’ve seen Boscia mentioned here, here and here}
Most recently, I bought the Revitalizing Black Hydration Gel because I had read really positive reviews and had to try it for myself. And I have to say, it’s A-MAZING. It’s cool to the touch, so it tingles your skin for about a minute after applying which is when it instantly tightens and refines your pores, and the charcoal {that’s what makes it black. Don’t worry, it dries clear} absorbs excess oil and impurities while the glycolic acid clarifies your skin and smooths out rough texture. It absorbs excess oil so it keeps you matte the ENTIRE day.
I’ll be honest, the first 6-7 days that I used it, I hated it- my skin got aggravated and broke out. But after that first week, my skin has cleared up, smoothed out and is THE softest that it’s ever been. I’m pretty sure that my skin was just purging out the impurities, which is typical when you begin using a new product. Whatever it was, I don’t care, because I am in LOVE with the what it’s done to my skin since then. I use it as a replacement for my moisturizer in the AM, but it can be used at night as well. Using it just once a day has provided more than enough moisture to keep my skin soft the entire day though. I don’t think I’ll ever go without this product going forward- it’s seriously just that great.
I would highly recommend this for all skin types. You will NOT be disappointed with the results.
