Inspiration Monday:: Dare To Dream

We hope that you all, or at least most of you, are enjoying a Monday free from work! We can’t help but meditate on why today is in fact a holiday, and the sacrifice that was taken to give so many of us that freedom that we daily take for granted. Isn’t it remarkable that one man followed his dreams at any cost? That he believed in a cause, in basic civil rights, enough to fight until his death? Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was unwilling to let someone else stand in the way of him achieving his dreams, his dreams for you and for me. So please excuse our lack of fashion included in this post, but today is the day that we pay honor to one of the most inspirational men in our country’s history, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.. May you spend your day honoring a man who fought for your current reality, and who refused to let his dreams and visions go to waste. What could possibly be more inspirational than that?

Dr. King, may this be our reverent letter of thanksgiving for the sacrifices that you made to teach us that our dreams really can become a reality if we never, ever, ever, ever give up. There will never be enough words to say thank you.

“All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.”

“I just wanna do God’s will. And He’s allowed me to go up to the mountain, and I’ve looked over, and I’ve seen the promised land. I may not get there with you, but I want you to know tonight that we as a people will get to the promised land.”

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

“Deep in my heart, I do believe, that we shall overcome…We will be able to rise from the fatigue of despair to the buoyancy of hope, and this will be a great America.”
